Wet Sounds

An underwater deep listening experience that immerses a floating and diving audience in surreal soundscapes. Wet Sounds has installed at swimming pools  worldwide since 2008 and transforms the swimming pool space through multi-channel sound, light and performance. Joel Cahen plays a surreal sound collage through one, two or three distinct sound systems arranged in the space. Over the years, guest artists such as Pierre Henry, Nurse With Wound, Cluster and many more have been commissioned to perform for Wet Sounds.

Since 2010, Wet Sounds has expanded to create bespoke sessions for children with complex needs at hydrotherapy pools at special schools. more on this on the Liquid Vibrations website.
